Last time with 9 rings 8 silver and one gold and no junk. Well this time, one silver and 4 junk! My VERY first target was the 1907 Indian. I was expecting a GREAT hunt. My next target was the 1918 buffalo nickel. Well 12 wheat cents a pile of new change and one 1950 rosey was all my coins. One nickle size object is lead. The lead headless soldier was interesting. Very old silver id bracelet and was in the muck so the chain has been eaten thin. Two watches, a Casio and a Timex both drowned. The large token is interesting. A naked lady holding a towel marked his on one side and a naked guy holding a towel marked hers on the other. Made of aluminum. The sun on the necklace might be silver. All I can read on it is express.

Little cap gun derringer is very interesting and probably very old. One of my favorite

Had NO problems with the people today. All were nice. Maybe just maybe since they were threatened with harassment by the police, they got the point!

The flashlight was an interesting find. It was too light to have batteries in it so I opened it up. It had a cigarette inside. STRANGE. Water is getting very warm. Has to be more gold out there somewhere!!

Man what a hunt! It's amazing what's under water , I will soon get my scuba diving cert. and hopeful nail some goodies like that!

So now their sucking up to you huh...people are hard to understand sometimes.....was it a funny cigarette?..glad you put the tail side up on that token!!!some interesting recovery's,good 4 u...HH

Congrats on the nice finds. I'm not surprised about the flashlight. I've used my waterproof flashlight before to store matches and other stuff when I forgot to bring my waterproof case. Now if the flashlight was not waterproof, then that would not make any sense, unless it was the wacky weed.

how clear is the water at the lake and what depth do you seem to find the most good objects. Have a really nice lake near me (have to be a member) just wanted a few pointers.thanks

Fish&Chips. Water visibility is about 10 - 15 foot. (until I stir up the silt!!) I find almost all my goodies in 8' of water or less. There are two drop-offs that have a ton of things on them and have been down to about 15' so far this year. I will be going to the bottom of them and I think that's about 35' deep. Question for you, Do you have to be a member to go in the park or get on the lake? You might need to do some research BUT they DON'T own the water here. And if I can get on the lake I can be in the water ANYWHERE I want. However to please the snobs, I told them I won't dive in their park after they open at 10am BUT I will be there before that time. After 10, I go to other places in the lake and their is a LOT of shoreline!

the lake that i want to go to is a members only park.if you pay the fee to join the park you have access to the water.if you get a chance google Penn Werner park in Pa. ive been there with friends and never saw any divers there or mding for that mater. it cost 1000.00 dollars to join. still kicking around the idea. as much as i enjoy metal detecting and i do put in the time, i just dont have the best luck finding the good stuff.

So you can't get on the water anywhere else besides at the park? Does the park surround the whole lake? It looks like its on Van Sciber lake. You can't get on the lake and go in the water at the park when the park is closed?

no, those pesky security guards buzz around day and nite.there. if they had a one day pass i could buy that would be perfect, but i will try once again. not to sure how deep it is but it drops of quickly. near the boat ramp might be my first try if i can get in there. i could only imagine what stuff is down there

Man...I need to look into getting scuba certified. Wading is cool but the swim platforms are out to deep to wade. Oh well another thing to add to my bucket list...LOL. Once again...Incredible hunt...Congrats!!
