sniper coil

Attach, and start hunting. However, you can now hunt along chain link fences and playground equipment where other coils couldn't get as close. And, you can also hunt trashy places and selectivly pull out some nice finds! And that coil goes DEEP!.

If you want to do well around metal (play equipment eta) then dial up to full sensitivity, and hunt close to and under metal, with the pinpoint button held in! If you want to hear targets up to half an inch away from an upright pole eta, then while you have the pinpoint button held in, tilt the coil ever so slightly away from it, and if there is any targets there, you'll hear them! It gives off no signal above the coil when in pinpoint mode and next to know signal to the side. The only down side, is that you will have no discrimination. On the up side, you will be blown away by the finds that you can make, that 99% of other detectorist simply can't get at. that includes other Ace users. The first hunt I played around with this feature, allowed me to detect a $2 coin while the top of the coil was pressed hard up against the metal above.

I found mine very helpful on one old plantation site I used to hunt. In one area of the sand roadbed that was liberally strewn with modern trash and pulltabs, I was able to find a nice flat button and a .69 caliber Civil War Minie bullet that were buried very close to nails and other debris that had caused me to overlook them in the past.

The only reason I don't use mine more often is that most of my sites are not that trashy, so I use my standard coil (or even the big monster) for added depth. While I don't know for sure how much depth is lost by using the smaller sniper coil, I have to say, I have found targets as deep as six inches or so with mine, which is plenty deep for older coins and goodies in many places.

Plus it is so lightweight, it's almost crazy. It's a nice break from the bigger, heavier coils sometimes.

bought mine today i Will test it tomorrow. got it at kellyco (its great living 5 miles from kellyco's) i checked out other detectors too man whats up with the minelabs? those machines are monsters, i hear there deep but dammit man i don't want a detector thats bigger and heavier than i am. but anyway they have detector rentals so u can use before u buy i like that. later

That little coil will get a good seven inches or so which is remarkable for a coil only 4,5 inches in diameter. Garrett done something right.

Hi everyone

Came yesterday via ups only had about 40 min. daylight left but off to school around the corner and hit an area i hit before with my stock coil with a lot of trash signals, found more coinage in this area than trash with the sniper 10' x 10' area 40 min. yielded 26 coins and 2 pull tabs. this thing is awsome. can't wait til saturday.

Thanks for the input
