Sniper coil or 6.5 x 9?

Another question: I was about to order the Sniper coil but I already have the 9X12 and the 6.5x9. When do I use each one and where would the Sniper 4x5 be the one to use over the other two?

from what I have been reading, the sniper coil is at its' best when used in very trashy areas (fair grounds, public parks...) or when hunting near metal objects such as a fence line or playground equipment.

Id get the Sniper .... My GTI is back at Garrett for a new coil
free.. even tho i think i helped crack it
In the mean time Ive been using the ACE250 with the sniper and LOVING it..

Keeps me more concentrated i guess.. cant just swing and
move like with a bigger coil

Just on Old Rangers thoughts

Sniper is great for sorting treasure from trash, getting close to metal objects and locating coins there. It's hot on rings and small jewelry and has surprising depth for a small coil. Some folks put it on their 250 and never take it off.

sniper coil is awesome in tot lots and trashy areas. my Ace is one of my backup detectors and the sniper coil is always on it.

:usaflag:I give my stock coil and my Sniper just about equal use around town and at private homes...but at parks I use the Sniper exclusively.

That has been the hardest decision for me with the results that it STAYS on after switching back and forth for the past month. The way I reasoned it out was that I had another detector (silver umax) with the larger coil and the wide open schools I have really cleaned out the trash in the past and so I don't miss the discrimination features and id I have with the Ace. Reason number 2 is that I have found 3 times the amount of coins with the sniper coil-I payed for it at least 2 months after I got if for Christmas. It's totally unbelievable (to me) the results I've had with it and was recommended not only by Bill but also by Monte who doesn't even write much (that I know of) about Garrett. Then another poster told about finding a gold ring next to a metal pole and how he tilted the coil at an angle and found it. Everyone has different types of areas to search, but for me the other coils don't even exist any more.
