Scott and I headed out today for a land hunt. He tried out his new single frequency TR water machine. I continued with a formula that works.....ACE + SNIPER COIL = SUCCESS :)

I managed lots of loot, including a bunch of coins from the 40's. Getting one of those old toy cap guns was a real surprise. It was made by DAISY. I too had a Daisy BB gun when I was younger......memories oh memories :lol

Here's closeup of the better finds. Silver is getting harder and harder to find, but the sniper got one today! It was gotten in a park which has been hunted to death. That 1945 "V" was struck to promote the war effort of World War II. And finally, either a large locket of some kind or a cosmetic box, which has that Victorian look to it because of those designs.

No more snow hunts, as we are now into spring. :nopity:

Great finds John. I saw a "gun show" on another forum. Some guys have found some great old toy guns. Woo Hoo on the silver too. I've found 5 so far this year.

The closest thing we have to your "white fungus" is the beautiful white sand at the beach. Hey, that reminds me, I might go bikini.........errrrr treasure hunting there tomorrow...........

very nice finds:thumbup:

I really like the Daisy gunand the silver is always great.

Anyone able to tell me what kind of depth the Sniper coil can do in Jewelry mode? Thanks

Typical John B. Day - you still got it, man!

In my soil, it gets down to an easy6-7 inches on coin sized targets, deeper if they are larger. It doesn't matter if its in jewellery or any other mode. The depth remains the same. All that happens is that the audio is silenced. That cursor still appears. Garrett machines don't lose depth like most other makes which lose depth as you advance the discrimination knob. :)

Thanks John, appreciate the info! Tim
