sniper coil help

I was wondering if anyone can fill me in on the sniper coil for the atp. I want to do more tot lot hunting but with the 8.5x11 coil in my machine i cant get within a foot and a half of any play equipment without the atp hitting a signal. Can i get closer with the sniper coil? I want to get right up tight to the equipment and fences. I just dont want to waste the money if there isnt a difference on how close i can get. Thanks.

The sniper coil is at home in the tot lot area it will single out targets great in trashy areas , when detecting around metal post and play ground equipment just lower the sens a little, Hank

It rules the totlot. Yes the coverage is small but it will work near metal very well. Even if it starts picking up the steel you will get a very different signal if there's a coin or jewelry that you will hear. I've recovered targets within an inch of steel poles and chain link fence just by listening to the different response.

The sniper coil will get you closer. Turn the sensitivity way down on your existing coil and you should be able to get even closer. Don't worry about the loss of depth. Another quick trick is to grab your digger and quickly move the top 6 inches of sand away from the metal equipment and scan what you removed.

Good luck! :)
