This is good news to me and I don't even have an Ace 250---------->YET! <img src="/metal/html/clap.gif" border=0 width=20 height=30 alt=":clap"> I talked to Mary at Garrett today to see where the Sniper 4.5 could be purchased. (I didn't know they were not out yet)
She informed me that they would be available in about two weeks. All you Ace owners out they might want to know, if ya don't already.

Thanks bud. That falls within the time frame I got awhile back.

Mary also said the engineering dept is working on a larger coil as well..G

any comments on the post below regarding the 2500 and Gold detecting.

The 2500 is not primarily a gold machine but you can hunt nuggets with it and it will pick up BB-sized nuggets. Always use all metal due to the soil conditions that gold is found in. I would use one of the DD eliptical coils.

Bill--- now that the Master Hunter CX lll has been out for a "few years," have you any success stories regarding it as a nuggethunter? With the 7-inch elliptical? As I recall it operated around 7-kHz and I was once shown several nice nuggets found with it while at Quartzsite.
While I'm at it; the Stinger has a frequency "tone" control which is accessed inside the control box. If anyone using the Stinger has a frequency loss, tweeking this pot while listening to a target may be of help. Just a slight tweek. However there are four "pots" and it is critical not to accidentally touch/adjust one of the other three.
