Sneak preview of my Toltec 100 mod,

Old California

New member
She's almost done, have the new wiring harness in place to remount several of the control features onto the Toltec II face plate. Then solder the ends of the harness connecting the circuit board to the controls in the mini meter housing.

Twelve hour work day yesterday and instead of going to bed stayed up till 2am putting this together, down hill now but she looks like she'll be a neat unit.

Rather than connect the coil cable to the meter housing, the coil cable connects to the same stock housing. So I gutted out the two coil plugs in the meter housing and covered the holes, the light still works.

Maiden voyage will be 3-4 weeks down the road, Priorities keep me away from completing the mod for now but next window of opportunity I'll jump on this project and get new wiring harness soldered.

Thanks for looking,
Paul

Bet it's easier to swing...................looks good.

Nice looking mod,

It appears to be better balanced than my "brick on a stick" stock Toltec 100. I can handle the weight of my stock unit but it is a little top heavy and likes to fall on it's side a lot, I call it my ground hog.

I'll be looking forward to your thoughts about the T-100 after you get it finished, so far it looks great, good job:thumbup:

wow looks a lot more balanced! my old eldo gets heavier every year it seems. i might move it to the rear. have you ever just tried to make a battery pack and mount it seperate on the end for balance?

Thanks Sven,

Great news! Changed it up a bit this morning now its even better balanced.

Replaced the housing with a more streamline type, its gutted out but ill post more pics later.

Thanks again,
Paul

Thanks Randy,

This morning, stripped it down and mounted a different type housing.

Looks fantastic! Will post pics later. You're going to see a whole new Toltec 100.

Thanks again,
Paul

Thanks Carey,

Yes, I've made seprate battery packs for other mods.

This morning took the Toltec 100 apart and replaced the housing, coming along great will post pics later.

Thanks again,
Paul

Thanks Silverman,
