Snagged some gold with HH Pulse

Well-known member
Got out on a day trip and was going to take the Excal, but took the battery off the charger, hooked it up and turned it on before putting it in the truck and nothing. Put the battery back on the charger for 5 minutes and got a threshold that quickly died. Plugged a light into the outlets on the power strip and the one I had the charger plugged in overnight was dead. Packed the CZ6A and Head Hunter Pulse.

Beach was too crowded to hunt much of any dry or wet sand so left the CZ in the truck and hunted just the water for three hours before low tide and one hour after low tide. Two promising rings. First was ankle deep and has three bands all hooked together. Looks good, no markings. Second one chest deep and took me 6 or 7 scoops to finally get it out of the water; thin 14K from a big finger. Weighs in at 2.0 grams.

The three rings together tested at 14K, then I filed a notch in one of them and tested the filings 10K. Filled a little deeper and no gold. Looks like it is gold filled.

The thin wedding band is 14K; small but I'll take it!
Cheers,
