I have been working a local elementary school for over a month & it is still producing but slowly. Last few days seems luck has helped a bit.
Small split earing is marked 585 so eurpoean 14k marked. A weak signal that I was sure was another piece of can slaw.I was using a Coin scanner pro II I practically stole off Craigs list & it was in behind a baseball diamond. I know I have covered the area before but split objects are tough Y'all know...That sucker does like Gold.
Then in the play area wood chips I found the sterling hearts earing. Nice toolwork on the face of the hearts-not machine done.
The silver earing hearts had a mismatched keeper of 14K so that counts as a gold find too!.
The ring was 3 days ago & a total surprise/lucky find. I was far from the beaten path & just found parts of a cool old full size cap gun. I started looking in the immediate are for the remainder pieces. I dug a nearby target & was dissapointed it wasn't the missing barrel. A coin or whatever in the plug dead center. Turned out to be a long buried very thin 14k plain band.I was using a Discovery 3300 & frankly I'm really starting to like that machine for easy surfing. I started detecting to get excercise for a sleep disorder. Towards the end of hunting I need a machine that doesn't require a lot of attention that can cherry pick. The discovery fits the bill better than a few much more expensive machines I've tried.
So skill or luck I'll take the gold where I get it. Just have to remind myself to be patient after the umpteenth pulltab.
Cheers!
