Smart Find or Digital Display?

Mirage

New member
Have been using the Exp II for almost two months now - have used it exclusively in Smart Find mode. Anyone use the digital display and if so why? It would seem it would be more teadious to watch "jumpy" numbers than a cursor.

I think which screen you use should be a matter of personal preference. I use the smartfind and rarely use the digital but some prefer the digital. Try both and see which you like best.

I use digital because it is easier to see. I listen for the tones and check them against the #'s. IMHO the display on the EX2 is a nightmare but the machine is the best one out there

Smart Find all the way. Although I do switch to digital to check any potential nickel signals to see where they are reading at.

I also use digital sometimes when hunting in the woodchips when I'm really bored.

Just as previously mentioned, its a matter of personal preference.

Both readouts present the same data, one in digital and the other, in the form of a graph. Have no doubt, it is the same information. Jumping numbers you say? The cursor does the same.

It all depends on which presentation is interpreted better by your brain. Different strokes ....and all that jazz :)

Sold it on ebay about a week ago. Would have liked to hang on to it but with two teenagers cash helps put gas in the cars. Find the Exp II working out well. Little more chatter but that could be cause I have the gain high.
