Been a great weekend so far, lots of "firsts" for me...first Barber Q 1904.. smallest ring, (gotta be off of a baby? whats a baby doing swimming around in 5' of water?) (.4gr 14k).... a .9gr 10K, and my largest 18K (12.3gr)! In fresh water with the At Pro in a dredged out Lake Mich channel...all thanks to a buddy who turned me onto this spot.:please:..he knocked down a 8+gr 14K!...we both got a lot of wheats and silver coins/rings...I guess it was one of those things, we both hunt pretty hard and share info, so it was only a matter of time when we got into a valley and both killed it! We are thinking theres gotta be a huge chain in here someplace, and I hope its Him that finds it!

Very good hunt!! I would have a hard time sleeping after that!!

I wouldn't be able to sleep for a week. It would take at least that long for the adrenalin rush to go away.
Congratulations on some Excellent Finds.

Yeah, it was a rough night! :buds: So we both went back in there today at dawn, with a big N wind and cold rain! He got some more mercs, and a small silver ring.. I got a few wheats...

I was way overdue for some gold, and Sept has always been a good gold month for me, but this weekend was remarkable in amounts and targets..plus, it worked real well hunting it with a friend, we would let each other know if we were in some pay dirt so the other guy could sharpen up...
