Smaller concentric coils on SE

I have an explorer se and have the chance to buy a detech 8 inch concentric coil off an explorer 2, does this coil work ok with the se?
 
I only took my SE out once before freeze up with the new Concentric 8 inch coil and found it seem to work real good, good depth and very stable coil. As soon as spring get here it will be my first coil I use.
 
I have the 8 inch concentric Detech on my Quattro,it's a very stable coil even on wet sand at the beach,depth is very close to the stock and seperation is much better.
