what would be a good choice for a coil to work high trash areas for my white XLT E-SERIES that is fairly cheap

the 5.3 . cheap i don't know but it's the best coil for its size and gets good depth.

HH

It depends on how "high trash" you are talking about. If the area is very trashy, the 350 snooper coil can't be beat for target separation, and can be had for less than $75.00.
As the trash level decreases and depth requirement increases, you can graduate up to the 5.3 and 800 coils if you like.
I'd recommend avoiding the 4x6 coil though.

What a4wdguy said above X2.

Remember that the XLT, 6000 Pro XL and XL Pro, and the earlier 5900 & 6000 Di Pro SL models are all in the 4-filter class. By design, regardless of what adjustments we might make, they are still a moderate-to-fast sweep design and they have a more delayed response and recovery rate. Because of that you can almost defeat the purpose by going to a too-small coil size.

I have used the 5
