Small yard, big reward

Wednesday I got out on what may be the last hunt for a few weeks. Cold is a comin'. I got permission from one of my parishoners to hunt their small yard in town. Yard was only 40 x 40. Within the first two swings I got a 1-28, 00-29 signal at 5". Pulled up a 1917 Version I SLQ. I could read the date so I was excited. This is only the third SLQ I have ever found! That set the tone for the rest of the day as in that small yard I also got two Rosies, a 1945 War nickel and 7 wheats. Sitting at 90 silver on the year including 15 quarters. Last year I found only one. I am over 300 wheats on the year as well. Even if this was the last hunt of 2013 it was a great way to finish.

Congrats on the great finds! More and more SLQ's keep popping up! Hope about a pic of yours??

Hope you get more hunts in before the season ends!

Continued success!
