SMALL SPEAR POINT ( ARCHAIC AGE )

Found this the other day while hunting one of my favorite spots. It is a small socket spear point from the Archaic Age. I had an archaeologist look at it and he dated it to be 3000 -- 6000 years old. When I hold it in my hand I try to imagine what kind of man made this ,maybe a great hunter? or maybe a fierce warrior ? one can only wonder. One thing is for sure the last person to hold this point in his hand before me was the maker 3000---6000 years ago. It is made from copper and is 2.25. inches long. This is truly my best find ever

Were the Bronze age and the Archaic age around the same time frames? Imagine the source from which the copper came in it's rawest form, and how it had to be worked. Very nice find, and the first I've seen on this forum. Congrats !!! Ron :detecting:

Great find indeed. I wish those type of points were found as far south as Arkansas...d2
