[attachment 17739 Ring01.JPG][attachment 17740 Ring02.JPG]Hello.
Any info as to where this ring is from and how old it might be will be appreciated. I found it in the gold country of Northern California. It is small and was probably made for a woman. Note the pattern of the small lines carved on it. Thanks in advance for your time.

Your "ring" is actually a woman's earring. The "stud" part that goes thru the ear lobe is missing. The fancy cutout on one end is where the stud swings into and locks into place. I have seen many of this type clasp in all the earrings I find (including some that the wife has purchased. I would date it between 1980's and today. JHinPA

Then an earring is it! Marc in Canada said the same thing. And here I thought it must be an ancient Aztec or Mayan relic worth at least a mil! Oh well, maybe next week.

Thanks JH and good hunting

Pete

PS Any ideas on the tag that I've sent a photo of above this listing?
