small park finds

Magicman

Member
Today I spent a couple hours at a small park in Columbia and had some interesting finds.

Have an idea about the ring and other items? I can not make out any of the writing on the ring but it is all the way around the outside and inside.
Also, the little ball that looks like a sinker, never seen a sinker look like that. The other piece (metal plate) looks like a R & F at the top and have no idea what it is.

Don't know if it is, but there are sinkers like that. Interesting ring, nice bunch of finds. HH jim tn

hi magicman, it looks like you found the inner brass frame of an old clock. the outer holes are where the outer frame was riveted, and the inner holes supported the internal gears. i find them a lot, especially near old home sites. good hunt. hh,

Thanks Grayghost.... if you turn the plate around it looks like the initials R & F
