Small honey hole

Today I braved the cold winds & detected an old site. I got 41 coins, no silver, but 24 of them came from the same hole about 1 ft wide.

I also dug this silver looking ring in the honey hole. Sure thought it was silver but not to be. Steve in so la

Sure is cool finding them holes full of coins. I found 72 once all modern in the sand at a playground at an elementary school. Also got 49 pennies at the beach right where the water meets the beach. I always wonder how they got there. Lost? Hidden?

Super! I wouldn’t be able to sleep for days if I found half that much.

A few years back, I recall finding an entire roll of quaraters in one hole and of all places to find them ... the far outside area of a school playground. The paper had long since rotted away but the coins were all there. Back then I used all the quarters I found for laundry expense. Looking forward to getting out this summer.
