I was able to get out for a couple of hours today until the heat finally beat me down. I headed over to an older soccer field to try out my new MXT Pro, mainly because they keep it watered and the ground is easy to dig in this time of the year. I set the gain at preset, 0 disc, coin and jewelry mode, multi-tones and I was using the Eclipse 9.5 coil. The first target was the junk ring followed by the usual clad coinage, just as I was making my last pass to head out, I get a medium repeatable tone with the vdi's jumping around somewhat. I almost didn't dig it because I couldn't get a lock on the numbers. Glad I did :) Out pops a nice girls 10k class ring that was broken, which would explain the vdi number hopping around a bit. That's a good way to break in a new machine.

I would say that's a GREAT way to break in your new machine. Congratulations. Does the ring have any names or initials in it? Wonder how it was broke like that? Thanks for sharing with us and HH, Nancy

There was a name Nancy, I was able to track down the owner, I posted the story under Todays Finds.
