Found this small pendant in a chip pit it came in @ 30-31, not stamped but ran it through the tests and then hit it with acid came up 14k the stones are cz. I Set it on a penny to show how small it is HH to all

Wow! That IS small alright...good find, and good for you to investigate it, I have iron notched 35, audio on, but I'd a missed it probably,...the little chain it was on is in there somewhere!
Mud

Mud I was thinking the same but a chain that small wouldn't register so I took the pin pointer and ran it through the chips around the area and came up with nothing

Awesome find my friend! Way to go checking the target with a VDI that low! I run with Disc. set at zero myself after finding a small 14K hoop earing that came in at 38-39 on the VDI. I know most targets below 40 on the AT-Pro are foil or iron, but that little piece of gold you found is proof that it is not always junk. Once again...way to go!!

Diggin this is the 4th piece of gold I have found that hit in the 30s one was a 700 dollar retail 14k diamond bracelet and the other a 14 k link bracelet and 2 14k earrings that popped a vid in the 30s they all came in broken, all most sounding like iron but then I would get a sweet tone so I checked and bang. So now I check those type of hits HH

That is Awesome...like I said, to many people dismiss and even block out VDI numbers under 40 on the ATP.

That's fine by me if there huntin my area  HH

I would have probably missed that target being a 30-31 nice pick up.

I was showing this lady how the at/pro works in custom and she took one of her 18K ear rings off and threw it on the ground and it rang up at 40 DVI, but it had a nice sound, also. Also, when I'm in water so deep that the control housing is under water and I can't see the monitor, I go by the sound to decide whether or not to dig a target. Usually when I get a 40, it's foil or other junk. I showed the caretaker at this place how to use the GTI-2500 a little bit, but he didn't seem as interested as the lady with the at/pro. I'm taking her a catalog next time I go. I will definitely dig lower DVI targets if the sound is right after reading your post. Thanks & HH.

Nice work on recovering that little treasure! We know you won't be missing any gold rings!
