small gold chains

will the ace 350 find small gold chains and what garrett is best at finding them

will garrett not find small gold chans

No VLf machine stands a chance finding one, maybe a PI rig will. So no, the 350 will not, unless there is something still on the chain.

I have never owened a PI detector but the best I have used on chains is the AT Pro. Most detectors will only see a single link or the largest part such as the clasp. I have done a fair amount of testing and while some detectors can see a small gold chain, with a clasp loop, they will not see it very deep. The AT Pro seems to be the deepest gold detector I've owned yet. Here are some of the chains I've found in tot lots.

thanks for the info

It can but , as long as its not deep and a sniper coil to see less ground, go slow and low, and dig everything, I do have have a sh mk2 and it will sound off on gold chains, hank

i was thinking the 350 was open in the metal range it might hit on chains i guess i will gust get the at pro

Most vlf metal detectors that operate from 15khz and up will hit on small chains very well. PIs are pretty much useless at finding small chains except for the ATX which I am lead to believe is very sensitive to small chains with the new Dual coil.
My gold bug (Standard digital model with auto GB) is excellent for light weight gold chains plus this detector can GB salt beaches. The Al Metal mode of this detector can achieve respectable depth at the beach and TID is displayed in this mode. The Disc mode depth capability is approx 50% of the All metal mode.
