Took the Gold Bug SE out to the NJ beach yesterday for a few hours of dry sand hunting. LOTS of foil ( to be expected), about 45-50 clad coins and these 2 small jewelry items. The pendant is broken, marked 14K. Silver item is marked Sterling and I think the stone is turquoise. Sorry about the blurry pics....I gotta get an upgraded camera for macro pic taking.
The GB SE can really hit small low conductors hard. Used the 11 inch DD. Went down into the wet sand and it worked very smoothly, but there aren't many targets there due to the sanded in conditions. I also hit a patch up top near the boardwalk with a TON of nails and the GB sniffed through that garbage and found a few coins. Also hit a spot where I got a few deep ring pull tabs, so I have to get back there since that is an indication that the sand is older. Seems they are fixing up the the boardwalk in a few spots and dug out sand from underneath. Just sooooooo much garbage and wire there. Time to put on the small coil and see what happens.
