Small coil really needed in trashy places?

When a larger coil is being used, will raising it a little higher off the ground get between the trash just as well as using a small coil?

You can still get multiple targets under a big coil when its raised off the ground. In some cases it will work fine and in others, well, you wont know. A smaller coil will give you the optimum conditions.

If you only get one accessory coil for your machine, make it a "sniper".

They generally give away very little depth over the stock coils. Pinpointing and target separation have to be seen to be believed.

Raising a larger coil higher off the ground will give you a smaller field and also less depth. It also changes the coils field somewhat to just raise it.
