Small coil for Vaquero...

EdUK

New member
Hi Guys , I am very interested in buying a small coil for my vaquero - not sure how to decide between the concentric or the widescan and would appreciate any advice from those who have experience of them please.

I use the 5.75, both, concentric for most conditions, and the widescan DD for when the mineralization is high. Concentric is used in most cases.

Tab-nabit,

Which one will pinpoint better in a ptab, screw cap, foil, canslaw area?

I don't care about depth... 4-5" max would be a great margin for recent drops.

If I had to have only one, I would go for the concentric. It pinpoints dead center. The 5.75 gets good depth for it's size.

Very good depth, works great in trashy sites, and pinpointing is excellent!

Monte

The 5.75 Concentric will work great as long as you do not have heavy mineralization. In heavy mioneralization, I believe the DD will give you better depth.

Thanks Guys for your help - I will go for a concentric first and take it from there.
Happy New Year to all and happy hunting.
