Small aftermarket coil for MX5

cosmic

Member
Hi I am looking for a small coil for my new MX5... I have the whites 5.3 and now looking at a DD type coil... Anyone have a idea of what to get.. Looking at the sef 6x8" and the new detech 4.5" or 6"...Best depth and stabile operation..
Thanks,
Ray

I use the SEF 8x6 on my whites M6 and love it also use a whites 4x6 in really trashy places . The SEF is plenty deep I have dug Indian heads at 7 to 8 inches with mine . I'm not using my M6 as much as I use too as my knees are bad and can't stay up on my legs a real long time so been using my lighter detector more than my heavier one , but do still use it some and use the Sef 8X6 most of the time when I do . I mainly use the SEF and M6 at places where there is going to be deeper older targets and the lighter detector in the local parks and soccer fields places where the targets aren't very deep .

Love the SEF 8x6 on my MX5, would really like to try the little 4.5 coil.

Get the SEF 8x6 you wouldn't take it off.

The SEF8x6 coil as other have mentioned is a quality piece of kit,the build quality is very good, depth is very good for the size and pinpointing is bang on as well.

I think its fair to assume from everyones feedback its a good coil.

The SEF 8x6 seems to be well reguarded. I use the SEF 10x12 and she is a killer in clean areas.
