Slow day Sunday ended up a Sweet day of hunting

Went out for a 3 hour hunt at old faithful and it started out very slow. It was so slow that I dug targets that I knew were probably junk, just to dig. After about an hour and a half, I finally received an iffy one way 12-40 to 12-44 at 8". I was more than happy to dig and pulled the 1952 D wheat from 7" down. I must have been so excited to get to the target that I carelessly scarred it. DANG!

Went for about another 20min before I received another decent signal and to my surprise, out pops the 1891 IH from 7"-7 1/2" deep. That made my hunt well worth the trip. It took another 20+ mins. before next good signal of 12-34,12-36 and dug the 1902 IH from 9". Roughly 20 feet away I received a 10-12, 12-11, 12-13, 9-13. This was such a radical jump that I started to walk. I thought as I was walking away "what am I doing" so I back tracked found it again and pulled the V nickle from 8-9". Day was getting better and better.

Finally on the walk back to car, another 12-36, 12-37 and the target was deep. Last oldie was the 1903 IH and that was the icing on a beautiful Sunday hunt.

Thanks for looking,

Moose

Wow, nice coins. They look like they just come out of your pocket, instead of the ground.

Actually Steve, the soil here is bad and tends to leave many coins very pitted and sometimes unreadable. I took some time to clean befor I posted and the V turned out rather well.

Thx all for comments, had a great day.
