SLIPPING UPPER SHAFT

A

Guest
Just added the Sunray probe and the upper shaft slipps down. I tried a cutting from a lunch bag seal and it helps some. There is no crack around the metal pin. Any ideas?

First make sure your inserting it all the way in the control box, I havent had any problem at all with either style clamp with the shaft slipping, but I have seen others post they have, of course I use the smaller coils, so maybe its the new style control box coupled with the weight of the stock coil.. some are pulling a balloon over the top of the upper shaft before inserting it in the clamp to keep it tight.. sort of a explorer condom <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
