Slipping into the Garrett Matrix..........

Ivan

New member
.........it all started so simply.........went int to 'just look' at some Garrett detectors. Mainly the Ace 250........then looked at the GTAX 550..................................................bought the GTP 1350!!!!!!! And all was well until John (Edmonton) draws attention to the Scorpion Gold Stinger. Went in to just " look it over"...................ended up buying that one too. PS; funny thing happened while using my 1350 in the park, an elderly man commented on how quiet my weedeater was.....................and he was serious!!!!

Someone posted that an eldrly lady once made a comment like that.

I had the same experience some time ago. An elderly lady watched me for a long time then approached and asked where she could buy a weedeater that ran that quiet. :)

Had some kids the other day asking what I was doing with the ACE, I told them I was practicing for detecting land mines in a war zone.

Last week a lady told her kids they had to leave the playground because the man was there to trim the grass. I laughed and said I was just going to ask if you minded if I metal detected on the equipment the kids weren't using. As usually happens, the two kids were a lot more interested in looking for loot. I can't remember if I included this as part of my original post.

Your anecdote has a better punch-line than mine but both are funny stories.

Some friends of mine were relic hunting when an elderly Gentleman approached and said I just want to know what you boys are cutting. When they explained what they were doing he was very cool about it and gave them permission to search his property where they had some nice Civil War finds.
