Slingshot's Tab Check...:shrug:

Yeah! The tab check is in series with the pot and the white wire selects which one will be activated. Neither will work without the white wire activating the particular pot. It's just simple electronics. And it takes less space to just solder the tab check onto the pot and use the switch to activate either one. Good schematic! I'm just learning to read those.
 
One thing I forgot. I just CAN'T remember if that tubular variable resistor is a resistor or some kind of micro pot. It is shaped just like a resistor with a third leg coming out of the middle where the adjustable screw is. I have looked on the net for them and can't find them. Keith Wills at East Texas Metal Detectors has them and I need to get in touch with him unless someone out there knows what I'm talking about. In the meantime I soldered a 100K resistor in series with a 50K variable micro pot (I estimated that tabs were at about 120K).
