SlimPack Battery Charging ?

Hello all, I have a question regarding charging. Can the Slimpack be left charging for weeks or does it have a charger circuit that monitors voltage and turns off when it reaches full charge ?

check charger manual. If you don't have one look it up on the net.
usually the manufacturer or distributor has that info.

It's the Minelab AC/DC charger (model 110151) that comes with Explorer II package. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is if the voltage charging (monitoring) circuit is in the AC/DC adaptor or in the Battery Pack pack ?

Economically speaking.....It would be in the charger.
BUT to be sure drop MINELAB USA an e-mail to make sure.
Some Chargers don't have a "cutoff" chip and you just have to "eyeball" the charging time or you could overcharge and may damage the battery and possibly get a leak! A question like that, should most definitely go to ML to be sure.

In the Explorer II manual on page 23 Minelab says the battery pack can be left on idefinitely without harming the battery.

whens the frost going to leave?

If you decide to get a different charger, try and find a sunray c-12 econo-charger or any other sunray charger in fact. You can charge up the battery pack alot faster and the c-12 charger has what is called a trickle charge on it. This means when you leave the battery charging in the holder, the charger will not exceed the maximum charging capacity of the battery. It will send the current back into the battery and then through the charger (like a circle). No overcharging or worries. But if you keep the regular charger and use it, I wouldn't take a chance on ruining the battery or the charger.
