Went to the beach at low tide, north off the Boardwalk in Daytona today. Ophelia is really kicking up the surf and the winds were so strong I had to really crank up the threshold on the PI Pro just to hear something besides the wind. I fought the wind, rain, and surf for an hour before calling it quits. Recovered 4 zinc pennies, 1 Pepsi can (at 16+ inches) and a bunch of bobbie pins. It seemed that everytime I started to dig a target the surf would wash over me and fill in the hole even when I was up by the seawall. That's FRUSTRATING. Anyway, the sand is piling up on shore so bad that any decent targets are deep. Oh well, a bad day detecting sure beats a good day at the office.
