Skunked...Gulf Hunter & coastwise in shambles...

Went for a long spin down the lane with coastwise and we worked the surf with abandon, hoping for some loot stirred up by Katrina. All she left us was .41 my way and about .52 coastwise's way. Worked from about 3p-8p into a 0.0 low at 8p. Raunchy, sanded in, and lootless. Had to hitchhike to get enough fuel to make it home. Fuel is about 2.76 per gallon our way. Hoping for some west wind to thin the sand a bit.HH

Spoke to a business associate yesterday afternoon and she said everyone was quiting early just to go buy gas. Probably some greedy Atlanta oil baron started this. News last night said high prices and shortages will be short lived.
