Skunked by Wilma!

Well, I thought I would get an early start to the open treasure chest that I just knew would be out there waiting for me......

Not even!! Just a couple pieces of clad for me. Maybe you guys/gals who get out there later will be more lucky. The surf was still big and I couldn't get too far down, even with it being close to low tide, got there about 5am. A lot of sand has moved around that's for sure. Scared myself to death a few times as some spots had a lots of "soft" sand...You would walk on nice hard sand, then all of the sudden you take a step and sink to your knees....not a pleasant thought when it's nice and dark, no one on the beach. Can you say "quicksand" ?

Anyway, maybe low tide this evening may produce better if the waves calm down a bit!
Good luck to all!

Thats so weird because just yesterday I was wondering if anyone could ever sink in the wet sand. One spot in the lane at Ocean City- ate me about half way up to the knees when a wave came in. I had a real hard time getting out of it. The strong hold was amazing.
