Skeleton Mold 1966 Mattel

TURNMASTER

Active member
I walked 15 ft from the truck and dug a 1969 D penny. Cool I thought, off to a quick start. Sooo, I'm swingin' away and I get a whole beaver tail. Ok not a bad thing kinda dates the coins I will be wresting from Ol Mother Earth today WRONG, junk, junk, and more junk.

Well I was running the 10.5 MF DD today and trying to get use to it. That may take a little more time, but I think I am getting it down. I definitely have to back the sensitivity of a bit. I was trying to run where I run that little HF DD. Well, I just don't think that is the best plan, especially in the trash -- err, I mean junk.

You guys would have been proud of the bag of iron, copper and the likes that I carried out of that place. Pluming parts, car parts and more. Might be able to pay for gas if I take a trip to the scrap yard.

I FINALLY hit a repeatable signal, so I dug (as if I hadn't been already). When it came out and I got a look at it, humph it ain't a coin. I knocked the bulk of the dirt away and OK, I like this one. I did dig little more scrap after that. Then it was time for me to go. Was a good 3 hour hunt anyhow.

As for the pics, I dug that button last week, it is complete and says; HV ALLEN NY and LONDON, on the back. I have no clue as to if it is military, but it looks it.
One of the keys today (middle one).
Part of some kind of Anheuser Busch and Co promo tin thingy.
And that great skeleton mold circa 1966. Its as old as I am. Looks pretty good for its age.

Fun stuff
Jeff

I don't know much about buttons, got any good sites to look at?

Cool mold. I had the set as a kid, it also had bugs and other creepy molds. You would pour the toxic goop ( technical term) onto the molds, and then bake it in a small dangerous little oven (provided), cool the mold in water, and pry your creation from the mold, memories.................

Sounds like a fun hunt

That skeleton mold sure brings back memories! You could ck on the Relic and Bottle form on this site above they seam to have a lot of knowledge on buttons.

Congrats on the very good hunt! That is some cool stuff you found! Heck man I had a nold like that, Beale.

wpaxt, thanks for the link. Really kind of a neat toy. Think I will call the local toys r us and see if they have any goop.
