Six silver saturday

LONG day detecting.....left at 8am, just got home. Got $4.40 in clad, six silver coins, buffalo nickel, several wheats.....and can you tell what the one thing is just right of the silver coins? it was my find of the day!

Way to go. That's getting it done! It looks like a token, maybe? I can't make out the writing. It's small for a token though. If not a token, then I'll guess it's an Indian....and one that you needed for your set (since it was the find of the day).

it IS a token.....dated 1863.....can u guess now?

cool thing was I dug a 3" deep clad quarter, (I NEVER, ever skip quarter signals regardless of depth) I recovered the quarter then rescanned the hole and got a signal about 3" deeper than the quarter, I was pretty surprised when I saw what it was....so it pays to dig that clad, never know what it might be masking!

It has to be from the Civil War then. Is it something to do with Lincoln?

Looks like the words "MUST" in the center and "President" across the bottom, but it's upside down in the photo, so I can't be sure. Maybe a Lincoln campaign token?

Ahh. I can see it now. You posted the better pics just before I replied. Is that something to do with Stonewall Jackson? He was a Confederate guy. How'd that get to Ohio?
