Six Silver From A Short Hunt

[size=large][size=medium]I slipped out after work with the kids this evening for a quick hunt before dark. We went to this little house that was built in the 30's and I have been wanting to try this house for a year now, but never knew who owned it. I tracked down the owner last week and got a yes, but they rent it and I would have to get permission from the lady that lives there. The owner was kind enough to call her and I got the green light to go. Less than 5 minutes into the hunt I get a great signal down about 6" and pulled out a nice 1919 Merc from the soft powder like soil. About 15 minutes later the same signal but under a rose bush. It took some time getting through the roots, but pulled out another Merc. Not even five feet over we pulled Merc number 3. The sun is starting to set and I am rushing through the yard to find more silver before dark. My next good signal is a 12-47 at 6" and out pops a 39 Washington. We went on to finish the hunt with a 54 Washington another Merc, 5 Wheats and a 36 Buffalo, a 10 cent play money and some clad. We had a lot of fun for less than 2 hours detecting time. Thanks for the replies. I couldn't resist going back again this evening. I must have done a pretty good job going over the front yard. I only managed to find 4 more Wheaties and a 41 Merc. It was definitely a fun yard to hit. HH

Yeah, I got really lucky on this little house, and yes the kids got their hot fudge sundaes. We all had a blast!
