Six Indian head afternoon....

Hello All,

Not much detecting going on for me this year. We finally got some rain so it is possible to dig without C4 and a backhoe.

Spotted some road construction a week or so ago. Yesterday decided to give it a go. I also asked and received permission at several adjacent houses, one was of a pre-civil war vintage.

I was hoping for some older silver, may have to go back with the WOT and try again. I did get an older 1865 IH that is in beautiful condition.

Beautuiful Indian Chris....I here ya on that soil by you guys...We got sand by me , but that clay by you is just not fun to dig in .....Even when its wet , its still messy ! Congrats !

Here in Beloit and the Rock river valley the soil tends to be sandier, and is very kind to copper. Head 20-30 miles east of here and much more clay. I've dug a lot of green corroded indians over that way. We should meet up some time.

that's the nicest dug 1865 I've ever seen.

It is an absolute blazer.

My soil isn't kind to injuns' so they usually come out crusty and nasty.

Congrats on the 6 injun' day...and I hope you get some more hunting in before your ground freezes.

Nice coppers and silvers ! Congrats !

That is a great day Chris. I would love to see an indian come out of our ground that at least resembles an indian.

I'd say that Indian is the best I've seen come out the ground......That certainly would be a banner coin..............John

Nice looking indian chris!
