the edge pulled out of a house site I discovered back in the spring.Ive posted it before but someone might not of seen it and though I hunt relics I was tickled to death to find it.It was my first signal in there.I hunted it only a couple of hours. the area had been clear cut years back and the house site was scattered around pretty good in the pines I almost went right past except for noticing some chimney rock sticking up in the straw. Now that hunting seasons over im going to get back in there. In my area people didnt loose a dollar in the post civil war south they were dirt poor in this county im thinking there might be a cache in here that was disturbed during the tree clearing.
Hey I can dream cant I !!!

Any how here it is the edge was hitting 36 solid lock

Thats one very nice piece of Silver Keith..Congrats on a nice find.

Yeah big silver is pretty rare at old house sites. I have found quarters around them but nothing bigger. Here's hoping it is part of a cache!

Hi Keith, I would love to find a Morgan! Morgan silver dollars are my favorite coin. It was the same situation in my area way back, everyone was dirt poor. I have not found any substantial coins at all here in Blackwell. So I have to look for relics which is ok too. But I collect Morgans casually and get them in BU condition. Beautiful Coin! Nice find Keith.

Very nice.

Signal musta been a real screamer!

never dug one...

and found a house site in the woods but looks like someone was there before me they had hung the iron they dug in the trees. It was crazy with those large square nail everwhere so I bared down on it for about 3 hours ended up with some scrap brass lantern parts and harmonica plates and such. did find a nice pewter cap to a flask.also got a couple of indian heads in a spot next to the chimney rocks 1890 and 1899 then a Lincoln head 1911 so the sites seems to be post civil war no flat buttons or suspender clips or toe taps guess ill move on to the next one.
