Since I live in Upper New York we got hit with another big snow storm.

With the snow blowing and a doctor's appointment this afternoon I took the day off.

So this afternoon I was going over the control panel of my new Xterrra 305, and the feel for my new machine.

First question on Sensitivity: As I figure it 6 seem like a good starting point? The Ace was only 4.

Since I was inside and there's metal all over it's hard to set things.
Threshold. What is the average?

That's all the questions for now. But do I love that display. Real sweet, and the balance is so comfortable.
When I saw the xterra 30 it wasn't much more then an Ace, but the x305 I just love it.

Yes last night to this morning we got hit with a heavy wet snow, and about 12" to 15". Even General Electric in Schenectady closed. Told all workers to say home.
The birth trees are hanging over and some trees are down. Some parts of Troy won't have power for two more days.
Then there's another storm coming in Thursday night, and there saying 8" to 12" more.

I would like to thank everyone for commenting on my new machine and welcoming me aboard. Your a great bunch of guys and don't let me forget the women either.

Happy Hunting

Bruce

I can't wait til the snow stops. I'm in P.a. and just when I thought all the snow was going to melt from all the rain they say we are suppose to get two feet by Friday. When will it stop I just want spring to get here already lol

Bruce, Sensitivity of a 6 would be a good starting place. But since the scale goes from 1 - 10, I can't imagine why you couldn't run your's at 8 or 9 most of the time. Just run it as high as you can without causing the signal to bounce back at you. As far as Threshold, that all depends on your hearing and your headphones. My suggestion is to set yours so it is just barely audible. I like mine around a 5. But these old ears aren't as good as they use to be! HH Randy

P.S. I know what you mean about the snow! [attachment 153859 snowdriftsofJan20102.jpg]
