Silverless streak finally broken.

After going about 0 for six weeks with no silver coins, I finally broke the streak this morning. Met up with Park Pirate at the same old hunted out park. Dug a dateless Buffalo nickel and a wheat cent in the first couple of minutes which was a good sign. Maybe a half hour later I get what sounded like a deep nickel signal and down about 8 inches I pulled out another no date Buffalo nickel. Fill in the hole, rescan and get a deep higher tone about 3 inches off from where I dug the nickel. Dig down about 6 inches or so and pull out a lousy pull tab. Fill in the hole, rescan and get another decent sounding hit about 2 inches above where I dug the nickel. This time I came up with the 1925 mercury dime from a good 8 inches down. This shows how hard it is to find silver in this park. Any remaining silver is surrounded by iron and other junk targets. Those 3 targets were in about a 6 inch circle. Not far from the mercury dime I added a 1903 indian head cent that was as deep as the full length of my X-1 probe. Was nice to finally see that silver glint in the dirt pile. Digging indian head cents and old nickels is fun but nothing beats that silvery shine (except the golden hue !).
