It may have been masked with junk...I have been taking my time cleaning up the junk..First time I hit the Park heavy with trash and clad lots of clad...Now I am going back to the Park Slow sweeping, 20 min into the park the standing libery and rain came..Pat

I just recently found a 1917 SLQ and they are worth some money. You might want to check into that. mines worth like 56.00 dollars. If it was a 1916 it would be worth thousands!!!!!!!!!
 
That's a real beauty and a Type I to boot. You photos could use a little improvement, but not your skill with a metal detector. Great find!
 
Its a terrible camera ...Sorry that is not a priority ....Coils are lol....digging tools are and gas to get up and go...lol Pat
