hunted a school in town today, told my hunting partner we should dig all signals today. He agreed and the second pull tab/foil signal HE DUG was a nice thick 10K ring. Well You can see from the pic, I dug a LOT of trash, pull tabs etc.....I did get a nice .925 silver necklace, 4 wheats, and a small pile of clad. I dug a lot of nickels, more than usual. A lot of days I just don't feel like digging nickel signals and pass em by. Well I am wanting gold bad again, so I guess that means lot of trash digging!

Very nice finds! Especially the gold ring. Please tell me where you're detecting where ur detecting because I want to follow behind......just kiddin'

I tend to notch out everything above 30 when I'm short on time at a beach and want to go for the gold. But honestly about 75% of the gold rings will fall in the nickel range!

Congrats on the hunt. That is a very nice necklace! Good job on all the nickles. That for sure means you are digging the right stuff, good hunting, Beale.

Thats the way to find the good stuff in them old school yards. Almost all of the gold rings that I have found, have come from the baseball fields at old school yards.

the gold showed as a 16 on his DFX, I waved it under my coil and got an 8. And it was a thick gold ring too, kinda shocked me the VDI was only 8

I guess that why its a good idea to dig all signals.I have heard some guys saying that sm pieces of gold (earrings studs) VDI 4 which for me is all ways alum. foil.
