Silver, Wheaties and 1918 pennie

I recently went to the house where I grew up, and have detected several times before, my
parents are getting old 89 and I have been going down to help them out, while taking a few
breaks I thought I would get out my Mxt and try there lawn again, didn't think I would find much
because I have hit the lawn quite a few times with my old detector, I found silver dimes, quarters;
and a bunch of Wheaties,
Couple were shallow the others 6 to 8 inches, the house was built in the early 40's most of
the coins ranged from the 40's to the 60's I have never detected ground with low minerals with
my Mxt and was able to use the 950 coil, what a difference, I found the 1918 Wheaties a few houses
down at my sisters house, what a surprise when the houses were built in the 40's.
I have some good finds where I live, a lot of homes there where built late 1800;s early 1900's
I have found early1900;s but no 1800;s and the ground is very difficult. I use my dd coil most of
the time, works very well but this low mineral ground was like swimming in spring water.

When the ground allows, the 950 is a great coil for many reasons... Congratulations on your finds.
