Not much as the hunt was short since the cold wind was something I wasn't prepared for  but got this guy which seems foil backed and gave a signal that I had to check out. Silver uMax in and around a local tot lot. Didn't try any of the other machines today.

Ha Tab-nabit,

It was windy where I was at to. That wind just really makes for a short hunt. I got a nice Gerber pocket knife with my Eldorado. Just dumb luck.

That foil backed guy looks cute. Is he a plastic dude? He looks like he could use a good meal.lol

Silver was a good choice for a day like that. That machine will go after it, no hassle, just does it.

I'm lucky. I get some days in that are tolerable, but today wasn't one of them.

Stay warm,

Brrrrrrrrrr is right - had to take a hot shower, not for smells, to thaw out and hope the juicy runny drippy red nose gets better and feet thaw out along with the fingers. Radar flaps did ok thanks to headphones.
As far as the little guy, I dunno. It's padded rubberized with black and gold on front (pic came out bad) and foil like on back. I can roll it it up and it will slowly unroll. Would make a good padded coaster for a beer, hot chocolate, maybe a knee pad, or maybe I should glue it over an eye like a patch.
If I ever run into you in a tot lot with that knife, I'll rip the patch off my eye and throw it down, maybe that will distract you long enough - I can see better with both eyes when I'm running anyway - and I'll be saying "Hey !!! you already have a Silver" :poke:

Have to commend both of you for braving the cold. Nice finds, especially the knife. As to "Dumb" luck, let's face it, many of our finds are just a matter of being lucky enough to swing the coil over something good. Last spring I found a nice hatchet and hunting knife in sand dunes along a trail leading down to a local beach. Too much snow here to detect for a while.
