Silver Umax

Well crap 2 inches of snow overnight now I'm officially bored. I've seen the cibola mod for GBing. Before I take my umax apart I was wondering if it can be modified in the same fashion. I'm not worried about the warranty on it cause i still have my Deleon that i won't mess with.

Today, I sent Tesoro an email, telling them about all the opinions on this forum about the lifetime warranty, and would they please clarify. Hope they respond on this forum.

jabbo,
I have e-mailed the folks at Tesoro a few times and not gotten a reply. They seem to prefer a good old phone call.

Yeah-there's a little blue pot about in the middle covered up by all those wires. Put it in the a/m mode and bob the coil up and down until it gives a slight increase on the DOWN stroke. Since the a/m mode is not true a/m, I always bump it back a smidgen until it just goes silent. I figure this will allow for the small bit of discrimination that's still in the disc mode. I also added a center-on three way toggle and made a "tab-check" switch(similar to the coin check that was on the Troy) that causes the tabs to break up when switched. It's sorta like a mini-Tejon, only quieter.
