Got a used Silver Umax on the forums last week. The detector works great except for the all metal mode, it seems to stay on the disc mode only. When I bump up the disc to disc out certain items and I switch to all metal, there is no response so it seems that it is stuck on the disc mode. Do I need to replace the toggle switch? Thanks, John

Giggly it. 
If you're picking up a audio response on a target in the disc mode and then switch to the all metal mode and don't get a response then something is wrong.
Most likely a bad switch or a lose wire.
Keep in mind that 'all metal mode' on the Silver µMax is just a lower disc mode.

Yeah, that what I'm thinking. Tried wiggling the wires but nothing happens that's why I'm thinking bad toggle switch. Sent Tesoro an email asking where I can get one, might have to take it off and take it to radio shack and see what they've got. Thanks for the responde Tabman. John
