When i was doing my tests this winter i had some Idea that this detectors Beep dig all metal was going to be special , the way it can hit coins on edge and get close to metal and still hit things , I also picked up the sharpshooter coil for dealing with the minerals and it makes a diff to now this morning i took it out by our cement sidewalk , this sidewalk is reinforced with steel rebar . With my threshold all metal detectors or for that matter the disc would not get close to this and find soothing exempt the Compadre but for some reason today using the silver and the sharpshooter i got two targets that amazed me 1st was the metal clip that was within 6 " of the concert and about 3" deep how i never heard that before i don't know then the brass button at 5" deep i was sounding on that really good and yet it was missed but not by the silver in all metal silent search . something about this silver that is really good ,, I know i am interested in the Racer 1st time in a long time i seen a TID machine i think is cool but this silver is still a hot machine especially its silent search all metal .

went back out in the driveway and in 15mnts found a nice 1950 wheat penny about 4" deep how i missed it i do not know

Nice combo, sounds like your having some fun.
Happy Hunting when the snow goes.............

sven the snow is gone but frost is still down in the ground but its leaving fast .

Nice going! Those DD coils seem to work better for you in your type soil.

Took the silver & sharpshooter out for a hunt today gain on 1 and in all metal using the sharpshooter coil detected about 30 minutes it was hitting foils to about 3" great performer .

Gunnar you must of hit a school or sports field. The coins and and the bobby pin look fresh. Not bad for a 30 minute hunt. What were your settings?

Right on Tab it was a spots field , my settings on the silver Umax sharpshooter coil 1gain all metal disc at 3:00 . the disc actually effects the performance in all metal if disc knob is turned clockwise you get deeper and more sensitivity to small items if you turn it back of foil you lose staples and small bobby pins and listen on good targets like gold or even a dime it gets really good depth even at 1 gain easy to hit a dime at 4" deep and loose foil at 2" all the foils if small and thin this is a great detector . for this kind of searching i did put the concentric back on for the next hunt
