kd4hee

New member
Hi All,
I have fairly new Silver Umax. (Still has original Batt) Today i went to use it and it has lost all sensitivity. It not pick up any metal. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Kevin

So you flipped the battery test switch over and battery was good? And the coil plug is screwed in tight to the housing? Air test in all metal still does not work? Send her back. Lifetime warranty sure is nice...

Even though the battery is a drop in and go, the polarity must be correct and the battery has to go in a certain way. After you remove the battery cover, there is a diagram on the inside of the case (see the photo below). Put the battery in according to the diagram shown. If that doesn't work then you may have to get it back to where you bought it or send it to Tesoro.
