Silver Umax is GREAT!

I recently got a Silver Umax and I have to tell you that this little thing is GREAT! I have been so pleasantly suprised with this that I have been using it exclusively. It has great depth, superb discrimination, and incredible target separation. Lightweight, powerful, sounds/looks cool. I must tell you that this detector it gets better results than my $1000 detector that I've been using for a year. I wish I would have gotten one of these sooner. I can only imagine how good the CIbola and Vaquero are if they are upgrades to this one. Simply awesome.

Hi, i use a Tesoro sidewinder micromax. got it at a pawn shop for $55. had to do a little repair in the arm rest. not been doing much md'ing do to rain most days here in Lewiston,Id., but the siderwinder Umax is very enjoyable to use. i am (weather permitting) searching an old drive-in theater that was in operation way back in the very early 50's, and closed in the very early, early 80's.; and yes, i am sure the area has been well scrubed with detectors over the many years, but too drive-ins theaters are junk magnets, ie, pull-tabs, bottle caps, tinfoild, and etc., but i am still sure, do to the size of the area there is still plenty of good finds remaining.
i don't know how much of an up-grade it will be, but i am planning on a Garrett ace 250, then up to a Tesoro Vaquero; but will keep my "sidewinder micromax", just because,... i like it as a turn-on and go machine.
"good hunting" *Patrick*

I find the Tesoro light, fast response, clean discriminate, and affordable. HOT circuitry goes deep and the machines are a joy to use.
Tesoro Tejon and Cibola. Stock 9x8 coils, 575 coil, and 575 Widescan DD coil. - They work for me. Just don't know which will be my next Tesoro, but not giving up the Tejon and Cibola for some time.
