Silver uMax - Back to MDing after 25 years

Hi all!

Been a 'lurker' here for awhile, thought I'd chime in. I will be receiving my Silver uMax hopefully some time this week!

I'm getting back to MDing after a long, 25 year layoff. The bug bit me again when we were out on a shooting scene, and our local EV tech brought out a law-enforcement-ized Ace250 to help us locate some spent 9mm shells. Anyhow, I used to swing a C&G Wildcat back in the late 70s/early 80s, and had a lot of success with that machine - used it a LOT, but hunting time/location was limited to where I could walk to or ride a bike to. Made some decent finds with it. Anyway, LOTS of excellent info on the forum, keep it going - gotta get this rust off.

Yeah the 'G' in that C&G stood for Jack Gifford before he became Tesoro.

Yeah I owned one of the first Silver Sabres put out by Tesoro many moons ago. Found a ton of goodies with it.

welcom back to the dig , lots of metal in the ground and i bet much is 25 years old and has been waiting just for you to come along and find it will be looking for your posts
